Circles
A circle always includes a center point. Circles can be resized using the resize handle that appears when the circle is selected. A circle can be moved either by moving the circle itself or by moving its center point. Points and arrows can be attached to a circle.
Insert a Circle
Click on Circle button on the Toolbar.
Note: You can also insert a circle by:
From Grid menu, point to Insert and select Circle, or
Right-click somewhere in the figure editor, point to Insert and select Circle.
Select a Circle
Click on the circle that you wish to select (circle turns red when selected)
Note: To deselect a circle click elsewhere on the figure editor screen.
Resize Circle
Select circle
Click on resizing handle and drag.
Change Circle Line Style
Select circle
Place pointer over circle and right-click. Select Line Style.
Click on the style you desire.
Change Circle Line Width
Select circle
Place pointer over circle and right-click. Select Line Width.
Size dialog box appears. Move slider to change point size or type size number into textbox. Close Size dialog box.
Change Circle Color
Select circle
Place pointer over circle and right-click. Select Color.
Color dialog box appears. Click on the color you desire. Click on Ok.
Shade in Circle
Select circle
Place pointer over circle and right-click. Select Shading Style.
Select the shading style you desire.
Note: The default shading style is None.
Make Circle Invisible
Select circle
Place pointer over circle and right-click. Select Visible.
To make circle visible again, repeat previous two steps
Note: When an object is visible, there is a check next to visible in the right-click menu.
Delete Circle
Select circle
Place pointer over circle and right-click. Select Delete.
Note: The center point of a circle can only be deleted by deleting the circle.
Attach a point to Circle
Select a point and drag it over the circle you wish to attach it to. When the blue highlighted ring appears around the point, release the mouse button and the point will be attached to the circle. Once attached the point will only move along the circle.
Note: Once you attach a point to a circle, if you wish to detach it from the circle, place pointer over point and right-click. Select Detach.
